From March 5th to 9th, 2025, we took part in WEBUILD Energiesparmesse Wels – Austria’s flagship event for energy transition and sustainability. It was a great opportunity for us to bring 7SUN’s solutions to an international audience and engage directly with professionals shaping the future of smart energy.
An Impressive Crowd, A Forward-Looking Atmosphere
This year’s expo brought together more than 72,000 visitors, including over 21,000 energy professionals. The halls of the Wels exhibition centre were alive with discussions about photovoltaics, battery storage, heating transformation, e-mobility, and smart energy management.
With 380 exhibitors from 12 countries, 30,500 m² of expo space, and the parallel World Sustainable Energy Days welcoming 650 international guests, the event truly lived up to its reputation as a pan-European platform for change.
What We Showcased at 7SUN
At our stand, we presented our latest offering in solar components and energy storage technologies, focusing on what we do best: reliable product availability, expert support, and business-ready solutions.
We had great conversations with installers, integrators, and business partners – not only from Austria, but from across the DACH region. The demand for combined PV and storage systems was clear, especially as discussions turned toward energy communities, self-sufficiency, and decarbonisation strategies.
We were especially proud to see how well our approach to wholesaling – flexible, technically grounded, and European in scale – resonated with so many visitors.
Wels: A True Hub for Innovation
The atmosphere was electric – literally and figuratively. Key topics included:
- modernising and retrofitting buildings,
- heating system replacement with renewables,
- PV + storage as a mega-trend,
- and local energy-sharing models through energy communities
